Gamma ProbeThe new wireless Gamma Probe (Explorer) is based on the ZigBee protocol, while housing electronics, pre-amplifier and carries the most reliable scintillator that has ever been used in our Gamma Probe generations. Using these components the Explorer is the most sensitive and precise instrument available to assist sentinel node mapping in surgery. Further more it can assist Nuclear Medicine physicians in the easy identification in Parathyroid Glads. The Touchcomputer included operates with a powerful software package featuring an artificial intelligence tool/application. Providing surgeons with invaluable information to develop their own teaching tool as the unit will learn from case-to-case to identify and warn the surgeon when they are in the vicinity or close proximity to a node.Because of the Explorer’s directional and precise measurements, it helps to reduce surgery time. As well, the unit can work with a very low dose left in the patient, making it possible to easily identify nodes intra-cavity without the need of high activities.

The Explorer works best when the medical team have defined:- The Injection time.- The correct colloid.- The correct activity and calculated time of surgery, to the adequate decaying time of the isotope.- Selecting the right patient (EG: T1, T2).- Lymphatic Damage can be determined by the history of the patient.- Size and age of the patient.
